Master painter Dirk Heuer is a family man, trainer and Kreuzberger. During the night of the flood in the Ahr valley, he lost everything. His house, his business, his vehicles. He and his family found short-term shelter in a small 2-room vacation apartment. From here he wants to rebuild his life.

His trainee Flora Mühlens describes him as a doer. He proves this directly in his first project after the flood. He swaps filigree painting work for milling machines and hammer drills. Dirk Heuer and his team want to help rebuild the Ahr valley. A life changing task.
