In our three-part documentary series "Frühling/Sommer/Herbst im Allgäu - Das Rappenalptal", we take the viewer to the southernmost part of Germany for each season. In the midst of the Allgäu High Alps, a handful of people keep the traditional cultural landscape of the Rappenalp Valley alive. An Älpler family, a cattle herder and a professional hunter work here away from urban worlds and provide insights into a life full of peculiarities during an alpine summer from May to October.
Whether spring, summer or autumn in the Allgäu, each film has its own charm and shows authentically and always close to the people, the work, tasks and challenges caused by the seasons and thus changing. Be it in spring the awakening of the alpine huts from their winter torpor. In summer, the production of the first own cheese on the new alpine pasture or the cattle drive up to 2000 meters above sea level. Or in autumn, the cattle drive of the alpine herdsmen and the spectacular rutting of the deer by the hunters.
